Meet Felix

Here is our new little BOY, Felix Clyde.

He is quite the sweetheart. Big brother Sulli can't get enough of him. Sullivan can be rough at times, but smothers his brother in kisses and hugs all day. I am surprised that going from 1 to 2 kids, has been way easier than 0 to 1 was for me. We are still adjusting to a newborn, but Felix is making it a pretty smooth transition for us all. We are very, very blessed to have him.

He was born a little guy - 6 lbs 7 oz and 18 in, which made for a quick delivery, which I appreciated. My birth story is interesting. I will have to share in an upcoming post.

For now, I am enjoying my last week of maternity leave with my two boys. The real world of work is fast approaching.

Love, Kianna

News

This little boy is going to be a big brother come mid August.
He loves babies, so I am sure he'll be the best big brother, ever.

Oh and it's a surprise.
We can't wait to meet this little one and
find out if Sullivan will have a little brother or little sister.
18 weeks to go.

I figured I should try and update our blog. I am the worst, but I know I always will be. Our lives are busier than ever. Work is going great for both of us. B got a mini promotion and will start that the first of February and I am still the CS Manager at Steal Network. I now go into the office 3 days a week (not full days) instead of just 1 like I used to - so that brings its challenges with dropping Sulli off for people to watch him. He loves it, so it is for sure harder on me. He spends one full day with Grandma M and two afternoons with Aunt Pam.

Sullivan just turned two and is the funniest, craziest, dancing little man I have ever known. Not one ounce of calm in this kid. The only time he is still out of the whole day is when he is sitting on my lap before nap time and bed time, and even then we have to be singing songs or playing a game. I have to say it is my favorite time of the day. It is just me and him, I'm not working on my computer, trying to get lunch/dinner fixed, or picking up the house. He is always at his sweetest and he really loves nap time. I think he enjoys being in his own crib with a few toys, his binkys (which will hopefully be gone soon), and his beloved blankets. It's just his own time. Sometimes we'll hear him 45 min after I put him down jumping like he's on a trampoline. He'll always eventually fall asleep.

He is really into music and dancing. During Christmas he fell in love with Mannheim Steamroller and I thought I could pull my hair out. Well, thankfully in his stocking was an Imagination Movers CD and he now has to listen to that every waking hour - literally. The second he wakes up in the morning, I come in to get him and he is singing the intro to his favorite song. We have to put it in that instant. His choice movie is Horton Hears a Who and really gets into the last song - Can't Fight This Feeling - he full on sticks his leg out, leans forward, makes a fist and pulls it to his chest and makes a singer face. I have got to get it on video. It is the most adorable thing ever.

His favorite things:
-Feeding the cats kitty treats
-Singing Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree
-Watermelon
-Dancing
-Chocolate Milk
-Eating popcorn
-Laying in mom and dads bed with the covers pulled up to his chin
-Running everywhere
-Stealing dads nose
-French Fries
-Movies - Horton Hears a Hoo, Curious George, Toy Story and Monsters Inc.

Here are some recent pics we had taken in October.

He turned one....a month ago!

Love them all - thanks Amy!

Itty bitty update

Well well - where to start.

We have had lots going on with our little guy. He turned one last month, then got the flu (despite the fact he did get his flu shot), is super attached to a huge green blanket with Santa's all over it, and has just started walking this past week.

Some of my favorites about Sulli....

-Dances like Elvis (one leg straight and really weird and jerky)

-Waves Bye Bye anytime you shut a door.

-Loves to be naked - especially in the Santa blanket.

-Tries so hard to sing along to the 'Hot Dogg' song - he isn't even close.

-His baby bouncer has turned into his TV lounge recliner.

-He adores his dad

-Has the most adorable closed mouth smile - just like Bryce.

Island Park

We went to Island Park at the end of June for 5 days for the Maughan Family Reunion.
It was definitely an experience as this was the first time Sulli had been away from home for more than 2 days. He did surprisingly well, I think I can say he did better than mom and dad. :)

Oakland was so nice to share her toys.

Love this one. (he's thinking about when he lost his cool) J/K I just think he looks handsome!

food - he wants to eat everything we are.
sleeping on his belly- i always lay him down on his back but within a few minutes he is on his tummy.

Bryce

Bryce is getting back into the running thing again, he has a half marathon coming up at the end of the month.

Work is going good, he is staying pretty busy. He has mainly been working from home since we've had Sulli. If anyone needs an auto quote or life insurance give him a call! :)

Bryce is reading a lot, and is so excited that he is a new owner of a LIBRARY CARD.

Kianna

I have decided to go part time at work, just a couple days a week.

I am trying to cook more, the slow cooker is for sure the way to go!

I am attempting to run.

Sullivan

He has started sleeping through the night, most nights.

He is so smiley and happy!

He is getting so strong. When I try to burp him over my shoulder he stands in my lap, and he can now sit in his bumbo all by himself.

a little update

Last Sunday was a great day! Not only was it Sullivan's blessing day, he slept from 8pm until 5:30 Sunday morning, then he went back down until 8:30. Anyways, I'm sure I'm not alone, but I was so nervous he would scream through the whole thing.

Once he was up he was all smiles, and so happy the whole morning, which made it so nice for mom and dad. We originally bought him a formal little outfit with a vest a little tiny bow tie, which was adorable, but just didn't fit our little guy. So he was blessed in a onesie that dad made him, with comfy white pants and white socks. Bryce gave him an awesome blessing and he didn't cry at all!

We had Sullli's 2 month check up and he has grown to 12 lbs and 23 1/2 inches. Here are a few pictures we taken lately!!!

LoViNg tHiS

What a difference a few weeks and sleep can do! Since Sullivan was about 2 weeks old he had been spitting up ALL THE TIME and would get so upset and you could just tell he was uncomfortable. We took him in the the Dr. a couple weeks later and decided to try Zantac to help with the acid reflux. What a difference it has made, along with a little bedtime routine, he is one sweet little baby. We don't have much of a day routine yet, I just have to make sure he gets in lots of naps through out the day. When I do....I get lots of these!!!

He is definitely growing so fast, too fast! Each day is getting easier and more fun! I just love that little face!
